My thoughts on ...
What I think about Foxconn
There needs to be a complete review of their HR policy

EMS companies I have worked with
Sanmina SCI , Flextronics, Celistica, ASE

The skills I often see lacking in the EMS industry today
Follow up after the orders are completed.....

What I think about some of the emerging EMS markets or regions
Semiconductor fab, 3-D packaging, and MEMS technology will continue to grow

What I think about low-cost manufacturing
We need to have low cost manufacturing in the USA.

My thoughts on what makes a good program manager
Remembering that a six month slip is a series of one day slips......

That a new process, product, design is always an adventure like an
Iceberg where only one-ninth of the volume of an iceberg is above water. The shape of the underwater portion can be difficult to judge by looking at the portion above the surface. This has led to the expression "tip of the iceberg", for a problem or difficulty that is only a small manifestation of a larger problem.

A book I recommend to others or am currently reading
#1 Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne
#2 Iacocca: An Autobiography by Lee Iacocca,William Novak
#3 Supply Chain Excellence: A Handbook for Dramatic Improvement Using the SCOR Model
by Peter Bolstorff, Robert Rosenbaum

If I could travel back in time and witness any event one would be
Creation of the World in seven days.

One of my favorite quotes
"If you learn one new thing every day and don't forget what you learned yesterday, you're moving ahead"

Someone I would most like to sit next to at a dinner party
President Obama

Some of the countries I have visited for work or play
Italy, Mexico, Canada, UK, Russia, Taiwan

A helpful travel tip I often use
Always check, double check and triple check your hotel room for computer and cell phone power supplies, cell phone chargers and articles of clothing. Do a quick eyeball scan and don't forget the bathroom and any closets

The ultimate consumer electronics product I would still like to see developed
a power adapter that can feed several devices for a car

A favorite electronics gadget
iPad1 (don't need a cell phone for it)

One of my favorite toys as a child
Was my Tom Corbett Space Academy, where I entered the 25th Century. Rocket ships and flying saucers that actually fly. Radar guns that shoot and Space Cadets with removable transparent space helmets, even frogmen! Sturdy steel buildings and plastic people. see link below
