EMS companies I have worked with
I started my Career with Solectron Corporation.
I have worked as a partner and a resource for dozens of EMS companies across North America. My clients range from Tier 1 to Micro-Tier EMS companies.

The skills I often see lacking in the EMS industry today
More soft skills than hard skills. EMS demands thick skin, absolute urgency, a willingness to work hard (and long) and I often see great people leave great companies because they were no longer treated like a human being. I'd like to see more humanity in the EMS space. I think a company's greatest asset is it's people. They should be treated like it.

What I think about some of the emerging EMS markets or regions
I like that the US EMS market appears to be doing quite well. The regional, niched services in Medical Devices, Military, Energy, Industrial, Etc appear to be appreciated by the domestic OEMs. These companies are doing well and are growing.

What I think about low-cost manufacturing
Necessary Evil I suppose...
