Ron Lasky

Ronald C. Lasky, Ph.D., P.E. is currently an Instructional Professor in Engineering at Dartmouth College. He also consults in the electronics industry and as a statistician. Prior to these assignments, he had over twenty years experience in electronic and optoelectronic packaging at IBM, Universal Instruments and Cookson Electronics.

Dr. Lasky writes for VentureOutsource.com on business-related matters important to our audience. He has authored or edited five books on science, electronics, optoelectronics and science and religion, and numerous technical papers. Dr. Lasky holds numerous patent disclosures and is the developer of the several new concepts in Surface Mount Electronic Assembly processing software relating to cost estimating, line balancing and process optimization. He is the co-creator of engineering certification exams in electronic assembly and the Director of Dartmouth's Six Sigma Program and the Cook Engineering Design Center. Ron was awarded the Surface Mount Technology Association's Founder's Award in 2003. In 2006 he had an article published in Scientific American on the "Twin Paradox" as it relates to Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

Dr. Lasky enjoys reading history, biography, and historical novels. He is an avid golfer and claims to be the world's strongest senior archer.

He owns four earned degrees, including a Ph.D. from Cornell University in Materials Science. Ron is also a licensed professional engineer.
