Joseph Wei is a 28-year technology industry executive with hands-on experience managing businesses with over $500 million in revenue for some of the largest U.S. and Asia-based computer OEM and original design manufacturing (ODM) companies such as Hewlett-Packard; NEC, SGI, Amphus and Inventec.

Prior to founding SJW Consulting, a strategic consulting company helping U.S. and Asian technology companies in the areas of strategy and business development and manufacturing outsourcing, Mr. Wei was vice president of business development for leading ODM company Inventec where he was responsible for executive relationships, OEM-ODM account management and contract negotiations with tier-1 and tier-2 OEMs in the U.S.
While at Inventec, Mr. Wei was also instrumental in guiding Inventec's OEM customers in further customizing their ODM-designed products to help maximize their outsourcing initiatives resulting in even greater cost-savings.
Previous roles held by Mr. Wei include chief marketing officer at Amphus plus, senior director of marketing positions with SGI and NEC where he led electronics outsourcing evaluation and contract negotiation efforts resulting in the selection of Wistron as the ODM of choice for SGI's workstation and server products and NEC's Intel server platform group products, respectively.
