My thoughts on ...
EMS companies I have worked with
Plexus, Creation Technologies

The skills I often see lacking in the EMS industry today
A unique blend of technical/business skills and soft skills.

What I think about some of the emerging EMS markets or regions
There is much for OEM's and the EMS industry to learn about "true total cost". Depending on product requirements and end market consumption there is a tremendous amount of time involved in truly developing an emerging market (infrastucture, education, training, culture of EMS, robust supply chain, etc.) and once it is "developed" to the point it is reliable and consistent...it rarely remains "low cost".

What I think about low-cost manufacturing
It is what it is...but are we all bees chasing the next bee hive that ultimately ends up where we started? It's evolution and a process that we go through to learn what maybe we already knew when we started? Low cost and total cost must be defined before entertaining moving to a LC model (p.s. the definition is different for everyone dependent on numerous variables).

My thoughts on what makes a good program manager
The ability to successfully navigate the fine line between company goals and customer goals.

A book I recommend to others or am currently reading
"Conversations with God...an uncommon dialogue" by Neale Walsch. I liked the triliogy because it forced me to open my mind to other points of view to major beliefs I have been raised to believe in all my life (I had to "set aside" whether I "believed" what he wrote or not). I found it to be a great mind exercise to maintain entrepreneurial thinking and appreciation for all people.

If I could travel back in time and witness any event one would be
The Last Supper

One of my favorite quotes
Those who preserve their integrity remain unshaken by the storms of daily life.
They do not stir like leaves on a tree or follow the herd where it runs.
In their mind remains the ideal attitude and conduct of living.
This is not given to them by others. It is their roots...
it is a strength that exists deep within them.
