The skills I often see lacking in the EMS industry today
Lack of raw materials support in several semiconductor industries. Lead-time is still an issue to turn around the production due to raw materials long lead-time. EMS towards high mix low volume environment that EMS needs to manage its diversity which will require more human resources to handle different areas of OEM / customers
What I think about low-cost manufacturing
need to accommodate with local government rules, and regulations. To achieve a low-cost manufacturing should start with productivity, or production effieciency. How to reduce cycle time, then manpower, then machine downtime etc
