Dan started Procurement Services Associates in 1988 and Material and Contract Services – LLC in 2003.
Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Plute was a Project Manager/ Supply Chain Consultant with Bechtel Civil and Minerals, Bechtel Petroleum, Bechtel Australia, and Bechtel International. His Bechtel experience includes work with mining companies, petroleum companies including refineries and drilling ventures, power plants, commercial buildings, airports, and mass transit agencies.
Mr. Plute was a senior manager with the Anaconda Company, Arco/Anaconda and United Nuclear prior to Bechtel.
Mr. Plute’s international experience includes work in Canada, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, South Africa, Spain, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, England, China, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Dan enjoys fishing, exercise and fine dining. He also enjoys his annual trips to Montana.

I think Southeast Asia's presence in the global supply market will expand.
What I think about low-cost manufacturing
Low cost manufacturing is not low if the total cost of ownership from the foreign sources is higher than other sources of supply. Also, if the supply chain delivery time and custom import processes are cumbersome and difficult to navigate, the cost/process benefits from a low cost manufacturer diminishes.
