November 7, 2007

The Chinese government is considering directing Chinese electronics companies to set up industrial parks in Russia and Vietnam.

Wang Bingke, Deputy Director for the Economic System Reform and Economic Operation Division of MII, communicated a Chinese delegation is now inspecting areas in Russia and, a second delegation will soon leave for Vietnam, to discuss potential Chinese electronics industrial parks with local governments of the respective countries.

Wang says the establishment of an industrial park in overseas countries will help Chinese electronics companies diversify their production bases and disperse the pressure of Chinese trade while helping to remove unnecessary trade barriers.
