Back in April 2011, Stephen Elop Nokia’s CEO announced that China has become its Global Innovation hub for Mobile Phone and New Windows Phone.  Following the announcement, Nokia quickly launched a large-scale business transformation program to ramp up Beijing R&D capabilities, specifically the Beijing innovation R&D hub and is now recruiting up to 600 new employees by mid-2012.

What Are We Looking For? – Global Product Manager

We are looking for outstanding employees to join us as full-time as Product Manager. You will be part of a team with global product management responsibility located at our development centre in Beijing, China. You will work closely with one product or lead a product family until successful ramp up of the product in the market (CS1-PD4). You will be responsible to translate consumer needs and customer requirements into world-class competitive product concepts and execute these. During the development of the product you will be the voice of the consumer in all aspects of the product offering throughout the whole development. You are a trusted partner of RD for all optimizations of content, schedule and quality and prioritize the ramp up of the device in the different markets based on a solid input from the sales teams (volume allocation). Furthermore you will drive the alignment between Product Marketing, Nokia Design and all other relevant functions.

You will have a strong focus on the consumer in developing economies, a view on user experience (UX) and craftsmanship with regards to product execution. You offer great teamwork and communication skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Degree in marketing, business, engineering or another relevant filed
• Solid business, market, consumer and marketing understanding in order to apply highest standard of product management practices in a consumer driven business
• Ability to take or drive decisions in order to prioritize product requirements
• Team player collaborating well in complex international environment with either existing network into relevant teams or the ability to build your network fast
• Good project management skills
• Excellent problem solving, influencing and communication skills
• Dynamic, enthusiastic and winning personality
