Our heritage provides evidence of our entrepreneurial roots and experience:

1978    Manufactured the first floppy drive for the IBM PC. Invented the double sided floppy disk drive head. Follow on enterprises designed and manufactured stepper motors, HDD HSA, and we became the first company to establish complete HDD manufacturing in Singapore.

1985    Began producing power supplies and other IT peripherals. Early supplier of turnkey PC and IT systems to the India and South Asia markets.

1996    Established Tandon Information Solutions (TIS) that offers software solutions. Services span software development, customer claims and AP BPO to order management.

1998    Developed innovative processes that enable highly competitive and high quality memory module and flash memory manufacturing.

2000    Established Celetronix as the first world class EMS based in India that grew into the largest EMS in India. The high-volume EMS portion of the business was sold to Jabil Circuit in 2006.

2004    Established Syrma Technology to design and manufacture RFID tags and custom magnetics

2006    Memory Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (MEPL) started operations as a licensed manufacturer of Defense equipment, approved by the government of India. Later acquired 3G Wireless as a subsidiary of MEPL. 3G Wireless serves as a consultancy and system integrator focused on communications solutions to the Public Safety, Law Enforcement, Hospitality and Industrial segments in India.

2007    Expanded Syrma Technology's manufacturing facilities and added Electronics Manufacturing Services, with a focus on mid- to high-mix PCBA and complex systems assembly for the Industrial, Telecommunications, and Defense markets.

2008    Acquired Tovya Automation with an experienced embedded technology development organization.
